Grand Teton National Park River Float
Cost: We've negotiated a discounted rate of $63.75 Adult / $42.50 Children Ages 4-15, to be paid to the Bride.
Description: This 10-Mile Float Trip runs from historic Dead Man’s Bar, located just below the Snake River Overlook, to Moose Village. These raft trips, floated entirely within Grand Teton National Park, cover the most scenic stretch of the Snake River within the entire Jackson Hole Valley. With an average round trip time of 2.5 – 3 hours, these trips are long enough for a full river adventure yet short enough to allow for other Jackson Hole activities the same day.
Meeting Location: We'll meet our guide in the Float Trip Parking lot in Moose Village, on the west side of the river (please see map in brochure - link below)
RSVP: Space is somewhat limited, so please be sure to tell us if you're joining in your RSVP so we can secure your spot(s) !

Jackson is beautifully situated in the Jackson Hole valley. Just 15 minutes north of town is Grand Teton National Park which makes a great half or full day adventure (psst - check out Moulton Barn or Oxbow Bend!). Two and a half hours' drive north, the iconic Yellowstone National Park makes a great trip extension from Jackson. Hop in the car and drive around these beautiful National Parks and you're bound to find some wildlife. Elk, moose, buffalo and other animals call this area home.
Travel Tip: Fly in/out of Bozeman, MT or Yellowstone Airport and drive through both parks on your way to or from the wedding.
Want to get closer to nature while also catching a glimpse of what the Bride spends part of her time on at work? Download the REI Co-op Guide to the National Parks mobile app to get complete park guides and trail maps on your phone (it even works offline!).
The downtown area of Jackson is centered around one square block of park -- each corner is decorated with large ornate antler archways and is one of the most iconic sites of downtown Jackson, making it a must-see stop. Surrounding the square are more shops and restaurants than you'll have time to see in one day. But have no fear -- you really can't choose wrong! Whether a full day or a quick stop, checking out downtown Jackson is a must.
Not into driving or hiking? Get the same great views without the effort by taking a 12-minute ride in the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram that departs from Teton Village. The views from the tram and the top of the mountain are stunning, and there's a snack bar if all that altitude gain makes you hungry. ;)
